7p Sammy Brue (ON TOUR - Townes Van Zandt-style folk songwriting)
Folk singer-songwriter Sammy Brue is tied to the legendary Townes Van Zandt through a direct lineage of mentorship. Brue's mentor was the late Justin Townes Earle, who was named after Van Zandt by his father, Steve Earle.
We caught Sammy at Permanent Records in Highland Park playing a set of Townes Van Zandt songs and TVZ-adjacent originals and he clearly has spent years on stage - effortless stage presence and a polished show. He agreed to come by on his next tour, and we’re excited to share him with ya’ll on a Saturday night – you won’t be disappointed, but get in early, it will fill up.
Guaranteed Live Music Every Saturday (off-season) or Friday & Saturday (on-season), and almost always something fun Thursday/Friday (seasonal) through Sunday
